INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ A convenience store association isn't giving up its court fight against Indiana's law that prohibits those businesses from selling cold beer.
The Indiana Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association announced Tuesday it was asking a federal appeals court to review a district court judge's decision last month that rejected its challenge. Federal Judge Richard Young ruled the state has legitimately drawn a line by allowing only liquor stores to sell cold beer.
But convenience store association director Scot Imus says the law wrongly limits consumer choice.
The association is also challenging the restrictions with a lawsuit in a Marion County court.
The Indiana liquor store association says the challenges are being led by large corporations looking to boost profits.
