Decatur Sends Application for Stellar Communities Grant

DECATUR, Ind. (WOWO): The City of Decatur is competing for a state grant to fund new projects throughout the community.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, the Stellar Communities Grant is awarded to two communities every year. Decatur was a finalist last year, losing to Wabash and Huntingburg.

Tuesday was the deadline for cities to submit an application.

Currently, the city of Decatur is working on its Street-scapes downtown housing project. On July 30th, officials will tour the cities and the winners will be announced this August.
