WATERLOO, Ind. (WOWO): The superintendent of DeKalb Central Schools is leaving the district.

Dr. Sherry Grate will become the superintendent of Westfield Washington Schools in the northern Indianapolis suburbs later this year.

A statement from Westfield Washington says her appointment is pending school board approval at a March 29th meeting. Dr. Grate would start July 1st at Westfield Washington, according to the Journal-Gazette.

Grate said in a statement that she is leaving DeKalb Central Schools in good hands and that they have “a solid team supporting the mission of developing socially responsible students.”
