DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that work on the Interstate 69 bridges over Peckhart Ditch, just south of the S.R. 8 interchange, is scheduled to begin Monday, March 14, weather permitting.

The remainder of the project will facilitate the construction of the northbound bridge over Peckhart Ditch. The southbound bridge was constructed in 2015.

On Monday, March 14, between mile marker 326/C.R.11A and mile marker 329/S.R. 8, both northbound lanes will have a 12-foot width restriction as contractors prepare to shift traffic onto previously constructed crossovers in the median. Additional lane shifts will continue through Fall as the northbound bridge is completed.

A speed limit of 55 mph will be strictly enforced throughout the construction zone.
