Dense Fog Slows Travel in Much of Indiana

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Dense fog slowed driving across much of southern Indiana, with visibilities dropping to a quarter mile or less.

Some school districts in southwestern Indiana near Evansville delayed their openings for a couple hours Friday morning because of the fog.

The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for most of the area roughly south and west of Interstate 74 cutting across the state. The weather service expects the fog to lift in the hours after daybreak.
