Downtown Improvement District Considers Joining Greater Fort Wayne Inc.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Downtown Improvement District is considering joining Greater Fort Wayne, Inc.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, DID board members heard Greater Fort Wayne's proposal yesterday to create a formal alignment between the two organizations.

DID focuses on a 91-block downtown area, while Greater Fort Wayne is an entity of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance as well as the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce.

GFW officals say the move would be a good way to increase economic development in downtown Fort Wayne.

The DID board could vote on the proposal next month.
