Downtown plaza to reopen this fall

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Getting around, and enjoying, downtown Fort Wayne is about to get a little easier.

The News-Sentinel reports the downtown plaza near Indiana Michigan Power on East Wayne Street will be reopening this fall. An “upgrade” project for the plaza has been going on for a while, with crews replacing old trees and installing new landscaping, with work also being done to make more room for food trucks.

Spokesman Tracy Warner says it’s the first upgrade the plaza has had in two decades.

Work has been going on there for several weeks.
