Driver Impaired by Rising Sun Hits Byclist

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A teenage byclist was hit this morning by a driver in LaGrange County.

According to police reports, 17-year-old Darryl Petersheim of Wolcottville was riding his bike on County Road 600 around 8:15 a.m. when he was hit by a car. 

The vehicle, driven by 72-year-old Bonita Wolheter, hit Petersheim on the back side of his bike. He was transported to the hospital on complaints of head and neck injuries.

Wolheter told police the glare from the rising sun impaired her vision.
