FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An anonymous tip has led to an arrest over a fatal hit-and-run crash in Fort Wayne.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says a Crime Stoppers tip led them to 36-year-old Alejandro Gaytan, who was arrested for hitting and killing Jude Lamb near the intersection of South Anthony Blvd and East Hollis Lane early Sunday morning. Lamb was apparently crossing South Anthony when Gaytan’s vehicle allegedly slammed into him and never stopped.

According to the News-Sentinel he admitted to hitting Lamb, but says he didn’t stop because he was afraid to go to jail. He was also charged with being a habitual traffic offender.
