VANDALIA, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say an elderly woman is dead after a house fire in north central Indiana.

The South Bend Tribune reports that 87-year-old Phyllis Jean Tucker of Vandalia was pronounced dead at the scene around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
