Ex-pastor Arrested in 2012 Charged with Voyeurism

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) _ A pastor has been formally charged with voyeurism and child exploitation nearly a year after police say he planted two video cameras inside a women’s restroom at a Lafayette church.

The Journal & Courier and WLFI-TV report Tippecanoe County prosecutors filed charges Thursday against 56-year-old Robert Lyzenga in connection with cameras found at Sunrise Christian Reformed Church.

Court documents say a woman found the first camera inside what appeared to be an air freshener in April 2012 when it fell off a stall door. Prosecutors say some of videos showed girls as young as 5 years old.

A message seeking comment was left at a home phone number for Lyzenga.

Lyzenga had served as pastor since 2002.
