Father in Court after Child Dies of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The father of a Kosciusko County boy who died of carbon monoxide poisoning will be back in court this afternoon.

34 year-old Darrick Spore and the boy's mother, 33 year-old Candy Chamness are being charged with neglect and reckless homicide in connection to the boy's death.

Prosecutors say they where both high on meth when their 12-year-old son died in their home back in June.

The deadly fumes entered into the home through a window, from two gas powered generators. Chamness pleaded guilty last week and will be sentenced in early December. Spore, will be in court today for a continuance of his a pre-trial hearing.
