FBI Not Saying Much about Charter School Search

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO):  Officials with the FBI are not much about an investigation in which they seized boxes of documents from an Indianapolis charter school.

The FBI got a search warrant to collect boxes of papers from the Indiana Math and Science Academy-North, one of three I-M-S-A charter schools in the city. Special Agent Vicki Anderson says she can’t say what they‘re looking for. However, she did state that it‘s an ongoing white-collar investigation, not involving violence.

I-M-S-A released a statement suggesting the search warrant is part of a routine audit of the FCC‘s E-rate program, which gives schools grants to expand Internet connectivity.

The FCC and U.S. Department of Education joined F-B-I agents in conducting the search.
