WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): Five people are recovering from injuries after an SUV did not stop for a funeral procession and hit a car on Saturday afternoon.

Four people from Goshen and one from Warsaw were taken to KCH for treatment after the collision at U.S. 30 and North Parker Street.

An officer who was assisting the funeral escort exited his police car to try and stop the SUV but was not seen by the driver. The SUV’s driver, according to the Times-Union, told police she had a green light and did not see the funeral procession.

The damage is estimated at $25,000 to 50,000. There is no word yet on if the driver of the SUV will face charges.
