Flags at High-staff to Honor Ex-Indiana Sen. Sue Landske

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Flags at state facilities in Lake County will be flown at half-staff on Monday to honor late former state Sen. Sue Landske.

The (Munster) Times reports (http://bit.ly/1aIwZme ) Gov. Mike Pence made the order for sunrise to sunset on Monday, the day of Landske's funeral. The Cedar Lake Republican died Friday at age 77. A service is scheduled 6 p.m. Monday at Memory Land Funeral Home in Crown Point.

Landske was a veteran of the National Guard Reserve and served in the state Senate for 30 years. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in November 2013 and did not seek re-election in 2014.

 Pence called Landske “a true public servant in every way.''
