Flags to be Lowered in Honor of former Commissioner Jack Worthman

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Monday afternoon, the Allen County Board of Commissioners ordered that all flags at County-owned buildings to be lowered in honor of former Commissioner Jack Worthman, who died last Thursday.

The Board of Commissioners has also issued the following statement regarding the passing of former Commissioner Worthman:

“Jack Worthman was a dedicated public servant and his passing is a great loss for Allen County. He was a well-respected leader during his 12 years on the Board of Commissioners. Jack will be fondly remembered for his contributions to the development of the old Memorial Stadium and Headwaters Park and the major renovation of the Allen County Courthouse. His experience and knowledge of the home building industry was instrumental in the organization and operation of the County building department during his time in office. Jack will truly be missed by all who knew him, and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family.”
