FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne City Council gave initial approval to the 2014 budget.

That's according to the Journal-Gazette. The $147 million dollar spending plan is expected to be approved next week.

The city was looking at an $11 million deficit until voting to approve an increase in the county option income tax rate this past summer.
