Fort Wayne Burglar Gets 6 Years After Stealing Husky

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — A man in Fort Wayne was sentenced to six years in prison for burglarizing a home and stealing a purebred Husky.

The incident occurred when the man, Christopher Collins, demanded the dog from a woman at the home, leading to a physical altercation.

Collins, along with another individual, then took the woman’s son in a car before being apprehended by authorities.

The other individual involved, James Steele, is set to face trial on charges related to the incident.
