Fort Wayne Business Awarded Meijer Expansion Project

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A local business has been awarded a major expansion project in Ohio.

Meijer has awarded Fort Wayne based CME Corporation the Design-Build contact for a new $100 million dollar, 173,000 square foot fluid milk processing plant in Tipp City, Ohio. That's about 15 miles north of Dayton.

The dairy plant will produce 30 million gallons each year of Meijer-branded milks, cottage cheese, sour cream and Greek yogurt for 100 stores regionally in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky.

The project is expected to be completed next summer.
