Fort Wayne cooling stations during heat wave

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A heat wave is making its way into the Fort Wayne area just in time for the weekend.

Saturday is expected to be the hottest day of the week. The high is in the upper 90’s and the low is just 73 degrees.

The city of Fort Wayne announced cooling stations that will be available during the hot temperatures.

Friday, June 22
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rescue Mission, 301 W. Superior St.
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 2901 N. Clinton St.
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Community Center, 233 W. Main St.
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at McMillen Park Community Center, 3901 Abbott St.

Saturday, July 23
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rescue Mission, 301 W. Superior St.
12 to 5 p.m. at McMillen Park Community Center, 3901 Abbott St.

Sunday, July 24
7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rescue Mission, 301 W. Superior St.
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 2901 N. Clinton St.
