Fort Wayne Gets Early Start to Holidays

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It's not even Halloween yet, but if you were in and around downtown Fort Wayne yesterday, you'd think Christmas was right around the corner.

That's because Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation employees took advantage of the 60-degree weather to install lights and displays for Santa's Workshop at the Community Center on Main Street.

The display features a couple of smiling elves waving to passers-by… and while the city's Night of Lights annual lighting ceremony isn't until November 25th, they're not alone in getting ready for the holidays… a massive Christmas tree has already been put up at Jefferson Pointe shopping center as well.
