FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Newly filed court documents reveal that a Fort Wayne man accused in a deadly double stabbing at Piere’s Entertainment Center over Thanksgiving weekend was captured on surveillance video during the violent encounter.
Immanuel Walker faces felony charges of murder and battery with a deadly weapon in connection with the November 28 stabbing that killed 28-year-old Jermichael Lamarkeyes James and injured another man. Walker was arrested Saturday and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Tuesday.
According to reporting from 21ALIVE, security footage shows Walker involved in a physical altercation moments before the stabbing. Video allegedly depicts Walker fighting with James, the second victim, and another man, and later chasing the second victim while making a “stabbing-like motion.”
Court documents say James then punched Walker, causing Walker to fall to the ground. After James walked away, another struggle broke out involving James, Walker, and a bouncer near the back bar area. Investigators say surveillance footage shows Walker stabbing James during that altercation before walking away.
Roughly ten minutes after the fight began, Walker was seen leaving Piere’s with blood on his shirt and pants, according to court filings.
The investigation remains ongoing. Walker is currently being held pending his initial court appearance.
