FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Fort Wayne officials are warning people not to use powered bikes on city trails.

The city says high-powered electric dirt bikes and similar vehicles are not permitted, raising safety concerns for other trail users.

Officials say even though some low-powered electric bikes may be allowed under Indiana law, riders should know the rules before hitting the trails.

Violations could result in enforcement action.
