Fort Wayne pain doctor targeted by federal officials in search warrants

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Federal officials are investigating a Fort Wayne pain doctor.

Search warrants were served at Dr. Michael Cozzi’s home on Post Road and his office on Dupont Road Tuesday,  according to our partners in news at 21Alive.

U.S. Attorney Northeast Indiana District investigators went to the Fort Wayne Interventional Pain Management clinic, but it’s not known what they were looking for.

Another pain doctor, Dr. William Hedrick, was targeted by authorities in 2014. He was later charged with forgery, medicaid fraud, and reckless prescribing.

His offices, including ones in Fort Wayne, have since closed.
