FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A female victim was found dead wrapped in carpet on Saturday morning.

At about 9:50 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were called to an alley in the 3300 block of Wayne Trace. When crews arrived, they found a deceased woman lying on the ground wrapped in carpet.

Police don’t know how long she was at the location.

The death is still under investigation. The Allen County Coroner’s Office will later release the identity of the victim and the cause and manner of death.
