Fort Wayne Police investigating southside shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon on the city’s southeast side.

Officers were called shortly before 5pm to a home on Weisser Park Avenue, near the intersection with McKee Street, and found a man in an alley who had been shot.

Witnesses told police they heard gunshots, saw the man down in the alley, and called police. He was taken to an area hospital and is in critical condition. Police are trying to find anyone who knows what happened.

The shooter has not yet been identified, nor has a description been released.
