FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – As summer break continues, Fort Wayne Police are reminding families about Indiana’s curfew law for minors.
Children under 15 are not allowed in public between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., while older teens face additional overnight restrictions depending on the day of the week.
Police say exceptions exist for activities such as work, school, emergencies and events approved by parents.
Officers say the law is designed to improve safety and reduce late-night problems.
Parents are encouraged to know where their children are and when they’ll be home.
