Fort Wayne Sets Goals for Street Repair

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The city of Fort Wayne came very close to meeting their goal of resurfacing 10 miles of concrete roads. However, the city passed its 50 mile goal for asphalt work.

The Journal Gazette reports the city is trying to remedy the cycle of disrepair the effects many of Fort Wayne's neighborhoods, through a $20 million investment.

Fort Wayne is currently undergoing eight major road and sidewalk projects. Despite constant construction and detours, the roadwork has created about 300 new jobs.
