Fort Wayne weekly gas update

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Average retail gasoline prices in Fort Wayne have fallen 22.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.18 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.31 per gallon.

The national average price of gas has fallen nearly 10 cents lower than the 2016 peak of $2.39 per gallon, experts with GasBuddy say, meaning a greater likelihood that prices for the Fourth of July weekend will be even lower than where they stand currently. GasBuddy officials add that the aftermath of ‘Brexit’ is expected to add even more downward pressure to summer gas prices, despite record-setting demand.
