Fort Wayne Woman Facing Theft Charges

A Fort Wayne woman is facing theft charges.  Jamie Boyd is accused of using her dying mother’s driver’s license and other identification to buy a car. The Journal Gazette says Boyd was charged Tuesday with fraud on a financial institution, theft and identity deception. She’s was being held at the Allen County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.  Investigators say Boyd bought a vehicle on November of 2011 under the name of her then-hospitalized mother, who died six days after the purchase.  She reportedly received more than $41,000 in financing to buy the vehicle.
