Fort Wayne’s Foellinger Foundation increases grants, focus on children and families

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Fort Wayne-based Foellinger Foundation is increasing the amount of grants awarded to nonprofits throughout Allen County, according to Inside INdiana Business.

The Foellinger Foundation’s board of directors approved nearly $1.2 million in grant funding for three services focused on providing assistance to children and families.

The foundation has considered the funding for operating support, project support, and capital improvement and replacement support for each recipient. Those receiving the funding include:

Fort Wayne Rescue Mission – $540,000

  • Three-year operating support – $450,000
  • One-year project support for organizational effectiveness work – $15,000
  • One-year limited capital improvement and replacement support – $75,000

Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana – $245,565

  • Two-year program support – $180,000
  • One-year project support for organizational effectiveness work – $13,500
  • One-year limited capital improvement and replacement support – $52,065

Headwaters Counseling – $412,475

  • Three-year operating support – $330,000
  • One-year project support for organizational effectiveness work – $15,000
  • One-year limited capital improvement and replacement support – $67,475
