Foster Park Neighborhood Added to National Register of Historic Places

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Another Fort Wayne neighborhood has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. Foster Park Neighborhood is now part of the nation’s official list of properties considered worthy of preservation. Residents of the neighborhood worked with Fort Wayne and Indiana’s Historic Preservation offices to nominate the neighborhood. Four other neighborhoods or houses in the city have received recognition this year: Lafayette Place Neighborhood, the Ninde-Mead Farnsworth House, the John H. and Mary Abercrombie House, and the Wildwood Park Neighborhood.  You can get a brochure of 18 significant homes in the Foster Park Neighborhood at Visit Fort Wayne.
