Founder of Indy Charter School Speaks About Tony Bennett

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): The founder of an Indy charter school at the center of a scandal involving the former Indiana chief of education speaks out. Christel DeHaan, founder of Christel House Academy, says it is “unfortunate” that Tony Bennett's actions might detract from educational progress in Indiana, and that no one associated with the school talked to Bennett about the school's grade while he served as the state's school's chief. DeHaan has given the GOP $2.8 million since 1998, including $130,000 to Bennett. Bennett denies any wrongdoing.
