Four Arrested in Quadruple Killing to Face Charges this Week

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Four people arrested in connection with the fatal shootings of two men and two women during what police say was a drug-related robbery in Indianapolis are expected to face charges later this week.

Marion County prosecutor's office spokeswoman Peg McLeish says initial court hearings for the four have been set for Friday afternoon.

The two men and two women have been jailed since detectives arrested them Sunday. A judge has granted prosecutors additional time to file formal charges.

Police say the victims and those arrested knew each other before the killings Thursday night at a house on the city's south side.

The four shooting deaths were among eight homicides that occurred in Indianapolis within a 24-hour period.
