Four Contenders for 4th District City Council Seat

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Three Republicans and a Democrat are going to vie for Fort Wayne's open 4th district seat Tuesday.

City Safety Director Rusty York is running unopposed on the Democratic side for Mitch Harper's seat on the council. The Journal-Gazette reports that 32 year old Matthew Sorg, 31 year old Ryan Keuneke, and 41 year old Jason Arp are the GOP contenders for the seat on Tuesday.

Sorg is a design engineer at Fort Wayne Wire Dye. Keuneke is the Allen County chief deputy assessor. And Arp is a Private investor. If one of the GOP candidates wins, it will be his first political office in his career.

Harper is running for Fort Wayne Mayor.
