Four gang members arrested in drug bust

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Four men were arrested after a drug bust at a couple of Fort Wayne apartments last night.

The Fort Wayne Police Department tells WOWO News their Gang and Violent Crime Unit, using a SWAT team, executed search warrants at the apartments at Aboite Center Rd and Huth Drive at about 8:40pm and recovered an AR-15 rifle, a 45-caliber pistol, a 9-millimeter pistol, a kilogram of marijuana, more than $11,000 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested were 19-year-old Lionel Weaver for maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana, 21-year-old Jalen Drake for maintaining a common nuisance and dealing marijuana, 19-year-old Joseph Britt for maintaining a common nuisance and dealing marijuana, and 18-year-old Michael Green for visiting a common nuisance.

The warrant was the result of an investigation into the violent street gang MLG/300, of which police say all four suspects are confirmed members.
