Franklin Man Gets 100-Year Child Molestation Sentence

FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) – A central Indiana man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison on child molestation and other charges.

53-year-old Dwayne E. Carter was convicted in August on seven felony counts that include child molesting, sexual misconduct with a minor and possession of child pornography.

WISH-TV and WRTV-TV report that authorities say the Franklin man molested two minors on multiple occasions while they were in his home and in his care between 2010 and 2012.

Johnson County Deputy Prosecutor Ryan Bland said after Friday's hearing that despite Carter's long sentence “the victims must live with this pain each day.”
