UPDATE: Friday Morning New Haven Shooting Leaves One Dead

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): UPDATE: The Allen County Coroner’s Office has completed the autopsy of the male who was fatally shot in New Haven in the early morning hours of January 12.

The male has been identified as 14-year-old Tra’Quon Dashon Hurmon of Fort Wayne.  His cause of death is gunshot wound of the head and his manner of death is Homicide.

Tra’Quon is the 1st homicide for Allen County in 2024.

The incident remains under investigation by the New Haven Police Department, the Indiana State Police, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

Earlier:

New Haven Police are investigating an early Friday morning shooting.  At around 1 A.M. Friday, Police were called to the 10600 block of Seiler Road on reports of a shooting where a male subject was found dead. Police say that they spoke with several witnesses in the area and are attempting to contact a person of interest. The investigation is on-going and is believed to be an isolated incident.
