Fugitive teens caught in Steuben County

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Steuben County police caught two teenagers yesterday who escaped from a detention facility in Iowa.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department tells our partners in news at 21Alive the boys, both of which are from Maryland, escaped the facility Monday and were spotted Tuesday walking around Snow Lake.

They allegedly stole a van and took off on State Road 120 before deputies arrived, but ended up crashing into a parked car and fleeing on foot into a nearby wooded area.

A Steuben County police dog found the boys, who were arrested without incident.
