Fulton Town Marshal Arrested on Multiple Felony Counts

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The part-time Fulton Town Marshal has been arrested on seven felony counts, following a two-month-long investigation by the Indiana State Police. According to Detective Mike Tarrh, in April of this year, he was contacted by the Fulton Town Board President and the Town Clerk with allegations that 37-year-old Jason Coleman, of Rochester, had been submitting hours for compensation that weren't actually worked. The investigation showed that for the last five years, Coleman, who at the time of the investigation was the Rochester Police Chief, had collected in excess of $6,700. Coleman turned himself in to the Fulton County Jail Wednesday evening. He's charged with Official Misconduct, a Class C Felony, and six counts of Theft, a Class D Felony.
