Funding Request for Fort Wayne Botanical Conservatory Delayed

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A new project could be coming to the Fort Wayne Botanical Conservatory.

But that might not come for a little while because the Allen County-Fort Wayne Capital Improvement Board put off a decision on a funding request for the project. The Journal-Gazette reports that the three-part improvement project will be reviewed by a three-person subcommittee.

Botanical Connections would include a pedestrian walkway to the stair tower connecting the Embassy Theatre next door. It also would add garden space to beautify an area used as Embassy's fire escape as well as a vine sculpture in front of the building.
