FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — The city of Fort Wayne is seeking a new towing company.

After towing companies requested last year that the contract be open to bids, the city released a Request for Proposal (RFP) last week.

The RFP calls for a single contractor to handle towing, recovery, storage, and salvage services across Fort Wayne.

The five-year contract starts November 3, and bids are due September 15.

The RFP also outlines the requirements each company must meet to qualify.
