WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): A young girl is recovering after a mail carrier vehicle hit her.

The 3-year-old was taken to the hospital shortly after noon after the vehicle hit her on Greenwood Drive in Warsaw, according to News Now Warsaw.

The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, but eye witnesses say the girl was chasing after a pet when she ran into the street and was struck.

According to reports, the girls injuries were not life threatening.
