FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Getting to the East Coast from Fort Wayne will soon get a whole lot easier.

Monday morning, officials with Fort Wayne International Airport announced they've landed direct American Airline flights to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina. The flights are being made possible thanks to a $2 million dollar incentive package that includes $600 thousand dollars in Legacy money. Flights will begin October 1st.
