FWCS Board Discusses Changes to Transportation Services

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Board members at Fort Wayne Community Schools say they have no choice but to pass changes to the district's transportation system.

At a meeting last night, FWCS met with parents, area-residents, and Superintendent Dr. Wendy Robinson, who discussed the proposed changes to bus services. Some of those proposed changes include “no transportation” zones and new school-day “start times” for students.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, $2.5 million was cut from school funding.

The informational meetings continue this week and if approved, the new transportation regimen will begin next school year.
