FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board is saying “no” to the Indiana Department of Education.

The board voted Wednesday to boycott additional pilot tests for the next ISTEP exam, and they’re not alone.

The Journal Gazette reports that Northwest Allen County Schools has also said “no,” and Southwest Allen County Schools may do the same, but East Allen County Schools has agreed to issue the additional tests.

The state made the request a little more than three weeks ago, right before schools began the latest round of ISTEP testing.

There’s no word yet on what consequences there are for those who refused to issue the additional tests.
