FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Community Schools board could be looking to pass a referendum proposal that doesn't increase property taxes.

The Board held a work session meeting last night and was told they'd need to raise nearly $230 million for making all the repairs the district needs, but the News Sentinel reports that most of the board could end up supporting a proposal that would only cost about $130-million that would fund certain renovation projects for the next six years without increasing property taxes. 

They'll decide on what to ask voters for by the end of the month, with a referendum hitting the polls next May.
