FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — It happened shortly before 1:00, leaving a woman dead. Upon arrival, officers were advised of a shooting at the location.

Officers, along with Fort Wayne Fire and TRAA responded, locating a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.

A suspect is in custody.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the shooting are actively being investigated by Homicide detectives.
