FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police collected a large amount of drugs and several guns after a shooting last night.

The Fort Wayne Police Department’s Gang and Violent Crimes Unit was called to a home on Trace Way, near the intersection of Wayne Trace and McKinnie Avenue, at about 8:40pm on reports of gunshots.

When police arrived they found four people hiding inside the home, with several guns and drugs out in plain view, and numerous spent shell casings all over the floor, but nobody was injured.

Detectives found cocaine, marijuana, pills, narcotics paraphernalia, ammunition of multiple calibers, a .357 magnum revolver, four 9mm pistols, one 5.556 AR15 rifle, and a number of magazines. Two of the guns had been reported stolen, and the rifle’s serial number had been destroyed.

Arrested were:

Briandre Howard, 24, for possession of cocaine, visiting a common nuisance, false informing, and on warrants.

Leroy Trice, 20, for possession of marijuana, possession of a narcotic drug, and visiting a common nuisance.

Calais Jackson, age not given, for visiting a common nuisance, false informing and on warrants.

Jessie Waller, age not given, for felony possession of a handgun without a license and visiting a common nuisance.

Shortly after police were called, a shooting victim arrived at a nearby hospital, but she denies having been shot at the location police were called to. The investigation is ongoing.
