Gas Prices Jump Nearly a Quarter/Gallon in FW Area

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Gas prices are back on the rise… up nearly a quarter from last week. Average prices in Fort Wayne are $3.52/gallon. The national average, on the other hand, has fallen just over 3 cents/gallon, averaging $3.57/gallon. Prices in Fort Wayne are still almost 20 cents/gallon lower than the same day a year ago and 26.1 cents/gallon lower than one month ago.

Gasbuddy.com Analyst Patrick DeHaan says a jump in prices in the Great Lakes was due to retail prices falling more quickly than wholesale prices.

Indiana is one of three states that did not see gas prices drop last week.
